Nokia N9 - a smart move by Nokia

Well, June 21st is coming up next week, and everybody is eagerly waiting for Nokia to announce the N9/N950.





The phone is supposed to run MeeGo and have a 12MP camera just like the N8. The slider keyboard is for those heavy messaging people and the 4 inch screen, expected to be ClearBlack, should be more than enough for anyone.





I think this is a great move by Nokia, one that will assure everyone that Nokia has not abandoned MeeGo. Furthermore, this new device, running a Linux based OS opens up the possibility to have Android on a Nokia device. It happened before with the N900, but this time we're not talking resistive 3.5 inch screen, but a real 4 inch contender.

Even though Nokia did not adopt Android as a smartphone platform, they can't ignore it's potential. I believe Nokia will release this device for two purposes: first, to test the waters withe MeeGo and see how it pins itself against the smartphone big boys, and second, to see how well Android can run on it. There will be people who will start porting Android to the N9, and hence spare Nokia the efforts of doing it themselves(if they haven't already).

Call me a dreamer, but I will love to see Nokia releasing Android phones in the future, even if they have already stated out loud that they will concentrate in Windows Phone. I'm sure that if the N9 and it's MeeGo brothers will succeed on Android, we may see a shift in Nokia's vision of the smartphone future.

What can I say, I can't wait to get my hands on one.

LG’s Smart TV Upgrader ST600 is apparently only weeks away from launch, with Amazon taking orders for the internet-enabled STB and suggesting a ship-date in two to five weeks time. Priced at 9.99, the ST600 will turn any TV – and it needn’t be an LG model – into a smart TV, complete with Netflix, VUDU and CinemaNow streaming, a browser, and LG TV Apps. However, there’s also Plex functionality in the pipeline as well.

Plex – which is a media server app for PC or Mac – has confirmed that its system will be supported on the LG Smart TV under the name MediaLink. That will allow streaming of digital content (in addition to real-time transcoding) from a home media server to the ST600 (or, indeed, to your PC/Mac or a smartphone/tablet).

According to Automated Home, Plex support won’t be present on the Smart TV Upgrader out of the box, but will follow on in a free firmware update come Q3 (or potentially earlier). The box supports 1080p HD, integrated WiFi b/g/n and lashings of codec support;

ESET Smart Security v5 RC - Web Access Protection Not Working

The news is encouraging for me and you who love this ESET antivirus products. A few weeks ago (probably a month), ESET released ESET Smart Security v5 RC (Realease Candidate). I immediately tried to download the antivirus and install it on the Asus EeePC netbook 1015PEM mine. After I installed the antivirus, I see how it looks a bit interesting and better than ever. But I do not like the initial image that appears at start up, because the picture is less good and stiff, not smooth as in the fourth version.

In addition, when I want to update the antivirus. Antivirus update of 30 mega bytes more virus database. I think this may only occur at the beginning, because the virus database is still not up to date when newly installed. But the next day I update again, but why is the update is always a big? I got confused, but I still think it was fine.

A few weeks later, about two weeks I use ESET Smart Security v5 RC. I'm having an error in the web access protection, before this is absolutely not happened. I took this for granted, because there may be errors that occur at start up. Then I tried to restart my netbook, but the web access protection is still not want to walk. I wonder what happened to ESET Smart Security v5 this RC? I got confused and just looked at it as a matter of course because the antivirus is still included Realease Candidate, or practically still in the testing phase.

Before the web access protection disabled, I always look for the username and password with NOD32 key finder. Because the web access protection is always blocking proxy access, so I tried to disable the web access protection. However I did this two days before the web access protection is ultimately unviable. In addition, the antivirus is still a lot keurangan them every so often to make a windows system error, I suspect a virus that enters into my netbook and it found several infected registry files of windows that cause errors and crash. Okay, just a few responses I have about this antivirus, I recommend to wait for the antivirus is really perfect in its development.
