Summer is packed full of long hot days and with your body temperature rising and increasing pregnancy weight gain, you will want to cool off in something easy to wear and very comfortable. In terms of easy to fit and timelessly stylish, there is nothing better than your basic wrap maternity dress. Japanese Weekend makes a classic Short Sleeve Collar Maternity Dress in both a solid navy and black in a jersey fabric.

This dress can easily transition from the office to out to dinner or can be worn as a casual weekend dress. Another great wrap dress is JKU's short sleeve Wrap Maternity Dress. This versatile V neck wrap maternity dress is similar to Japanese Weekend's, only minus the collar and with an adjustable front tie. There is no better time to buy an awesome sundress than when you are expecting. Sundresses are so easy to wear and allow you to bask in the sun without sweltering in the heat. The Maternal America Embroidered Dress in cool mint is an understated yet beautiful sundress that can be worn for everyday casual or for a special occasion.

This dress hangs beautifully on your figure and does not wrinkle. The garment dyed mint color is accented by floral embroidery throughout and the ruffle detail allows a casual elegance and effortless beauty that is only enhanced by your pregnancy. On a similar theme, Juliet Dream's Embroidered Maternity Dress is a versatile lightweight cotton paisley pattern sundress. This dress has that casual summer sundress feel with adjustable tie shoulder spaghetti straps, tube smocking and ruffle hem which hits a bit above the ankle. This is another great example of a maternity dress that be worn extremely casual or even to a wedding.

If you are due during the summer and hope to get more mileage out of your summer maternity dress investment, choosing a dress that can be worn during and after your pregnancy is a good idea.

Majamas, a label that specializes in nursing and transition fashions, has a number of great choices. Their Praline Maternity/Nursing Dress does not look like a maternity or nursing dress but is designed for both. This dress has a fun kaleidoscope pattern with a stylish black accent band above the hem. The pretty cap sleeve with V neck style is flirty and cool for summer and the front cross over design easily doubles as a nursing dress. It's stretchy rayon/poly/lycra blend will stretch with you during your pregnancy and spring back into place for wear after you have your baby.

The Sleepy Nursing Dress is another great transition wear dress by Majamas. This dress has been around for years and is a favorite for expecting and new moms everywhere. The Sleepy Dress is a tank style dress, with built in bust support which is also nursing bra friendly.

This dress features a cross over front design for nursing and the hem hits just above the knee. This dress can be worn casually or accessorized for a more formal occasion. The cotton/lycra blend allows this dress plenty of stretch so that it can also be worn during pregnancy. The Sleepy Nursing Dress is such a popular dress that it comes in many different colors and patterns including a beautiful merlot and twilight as well as classic black.

Mens Fashion: Revamp Your Wardrobe for Coming Summer

Men’s fashion is not as prone to change as women’s, so basically you may have everything you need to look the part for the summer 2011 season. Suits are still inclined to the classic cuts and the tailored look is back, with jackets accentuating the shoulders, and the waist is highlighted, as male models on catwalks chose to button the one button closest to the waist, whether or not it looked stretched and ruched the fabric as they walked.

Trousers are slim cut and worn without socks but with loafers or deck shoes. For those who still like socks, then there are gladiator sandals with built-in socks. The mens fashion trend is for shorts with jackets rather than full-length trousers, to beat the heat, and these are in the same suit material as jackets, and come to just above the knee. Socks are out this year it would seem.

Although trousers are slim cut, mens fashion jeans are definitely flared this season, so you may want to revamp your wardrobe with the latest jeans rather than wearing the skinny ones that were “in” until so recently.

Jackets are single breasted with shawl or pointed lapels and with either double or single buttons. White of course is in for those summer balls that are starting now. Bikers’ jackets are also de rigueur this season and can be in traditional leather or lighter fabric and with or without sleeves. These match the “wild boy” hairstyles that seem to be in fashion once again.

As for shirts, you can get away with the button down collar and rolled up sleeves, but this summer shirts have prints and colors are inspired by the earthy tones of nature, so they are dark green, burgundy, terracotta and clay shades. Buy a light sleeveless knitwear jumper which can be worn with or without a shirt, and forget the tank tops that only come to your waist. The T-shirt look this summer is sleeveless and long and in neutral shades of grey, off-white and white.

Exciting Week Coming Up! iPad Summer Institute

After a great deal of planning it is hard to believe that the iPad Summer Institute is happening this week-on Tuesday and Wednesday.During the conference Christine and I will share our insights on how we have been using the iPad as a both a learning and communication tool for students with speecial needs. We have a lot of ground to cover and trust that our attendees are as excited as us about all of the possibilities and the potential the iPad can offer. Once you start using the iPad you begin to realize that the options are endless and the ease of use and user interface is ideal for the students we work with. During the day we will talk about various apps, management issues, peripherals, and how to best use the iPad in the classroom.

Both iPad Institute Sessions are closed out but we will be offering another session on Thursday which is being hosted at the Middlesex ETTC in East Brunswick, NJ and there are still some seats left.

Women's Denim Shorts - Summer & Autumn 2010 Essential

Cut-Offs For This Season and Next

For those of you who are lucky enough to still have their summer holiday to look forward to this month I thought I would remind you that there is definitely an essential purchase you should not forget to pack... your denim shorts! What is that you say... You haven't got a pair? Well now is time to invest sister! This year, denim has made a MASSIVE comeback in women's fashion. Already in 2010 I have featured a whole variety of denim trends, such as the double denim look, denim jackets, denim shirts, acid wash denim, denim effect jeggins/leggins, torn/destroyed denim and so many more. It has definitely been revitalised and now I'm going to showcase the latest take in the revolution.

Denim shorts have generally always been a stapple piece for our summer wardrobe here at Stardoll's Women Fashion Blog, but this year the variety has gone through the roof. There are multiple shades instead of the standard blue stone wash; with greys and blacks adding a modern take and slightly more chic look to your summer wardrobe. We can also find waisted cuts, pleated chambray/cotton effect varieties, destroyed detailing such as rips/frayed edges (building on the very popular jeans style early this year) and also a huge amount of detailing with everything from studs to gold buttons added to create unique pieces.

This Season

Obviously if you are looking for a pair of denim shorts to take on your summer holidays I recommend picking up a pair of light blue stone wash or white denim shorts. They both match nearly every item in your wardrobe, do not attract heat and make you feel uncomfortable in hot climates and they both perfectly hit that nautical or French Riviera look which is massive this Spring/Summer. Pair with your bikini underneath for a day at the beach or dress it up with a shirt or sexy top and gladiators for a night out.

Into Autumn

Just because the sun stops shining, it doesn't mean you can't still wear your shorts. You just have to pick how and when you break them out and accompany them with different surrounding pieces. I LOVE the darker shades for the cooler months such as grey, indigo and black tones. There is going to be a move back to simple minimalist style this Autumn/Winter, with classic timeless colours and not as much fuss. So you can pair these shorts with sharp white shirts and tailored blazers. Remeber to add some leggins underneath to battle the colder temperatures and you have a classic and chic city look which can work just as well at night as it does in the day.

Summer season in full blast!

Summer is upon us in full force. Are you ready? Do you have one or two maternity swimsuits? Do you have enough cami’s and maternity tee’s? Now is the time to get your summer collection of maternity clothing before it’s too late. Swimwear is one of the biggest things mom-to-be’s overlook as they forget how much they wore their swimsuit last year! Maternity swimwear is abundant at BellaBlu Maternity. Casual maternity tee’s and tops are also a huge summer favorite. Since many events are held outside, you nee to find a sleeveless or short sleeve tee that fits you well and makes you feel good. Some moms like the maternity tee’s with cute little sayings on them, while others like the solid bright colors that breathe well. Ruching sides is also a big hit for maternity tops as it helps the fit and flexibility as there is no riding up or gathering. Most maternity tops for spring and summer are designed to breathe better as pregnancy seems to increase your sensitivity to heat anyways. Seems like we are always hot as those hormones don’t give up! Shade brand of tee’s are still the most popular casual maternity top around. Solid vibrant color maternity tops and by far the most comfortable you will find. And last but not least, the most affordable of any high quality maternity tee! A maternity cami or tank is also a big favorite. Ruching tanks are great but we would suggest you get white. Same goes with maternity cami’s as the whites and pinks are always a big summer hit. Most have a fit that will satisfy all moms since they are so flexible. Enjoy your summer and make sure you have all the maternity summer clothing you need to make it even better!

Man Fashion: Summer Weekend Styles

The arrival of summer not only symbolizes a change in weather but is also renowned for bringing a change in man fashion colors and styles. Summer means spending sunny days on the beach and having barbeques in the backyard. For beaches, barbeques and more, so check out these man fashion tips for weekend style.

T Shirts and Shirts: The hot sunny conditions in summers forbid wearing of dark colors; instead it invites warmer and brighter variations. Orange, bright blue and yellow are the 2011 chic colors that should be opted for. Casual shirts which are worn without jackets come in a variety of colors and prints. The style for summers ranges from plain white colored shirts to exotic tropical prints that should worn on exceptionally hot days. A plain T shirt wear is ideal to harness the casual look, you can check out casual T-shirts at mens fashion shirts.

Pants: To counter the summer heat, we stressed that trousers should be light, breathable and most importantly comfortable. Linen pants are the only pants that fit this description. They come in a range of colors and styles. Whether it is a casual party or serious office meeting, linen pants would meet standards.
In the stifling heat jeans may prove to be very uncomfortable. The alternative clothing for a relaxing weekend is drawstrings. Drawstrings come within a wide palette of fabrics; such as twill and cotton. However, the most rewarding and popular are linen drawstrings.

Headwear: The summer headwear is based numerous number of hats of which a few are trilbies, fedoras and pork pie hats. The most common are the straw hats with wide brims. The trick in wearing a hat involves knowing which sort of hat complements the sort of dressing and being confident of the selection.

Sunglasses: Sunglasses are what bring out the character; they give a final touch to the man’s attire. They should be worn as to complement the clothing. For formal and energetic outgoing men panorama sunglasses are ideal. They are a combination of formal and casual. Shield sunglasses are structured to give a posh and sophisticated look on a man’s face.

Footwear: The all round option for footwear are man canvas shoes. Canvas shoes can be worn when dressing casually in the summers. They come in a variety of styles; which includes laces, elastics even zippers.
The other recommended footwear are Espadrilles. The shoes have a more casual approach and can easily match with man fashion jeans, shorts and other sorts of casual clothing.

Summer Trends For Maternity Clothes

When you’re pregnant it can often be the case that you feel completely out of style and that anything you wear will not be in-vogue. However, just as mainstream garments undergo changing trends every season, so too do maternity clothes. By staying abreast of the new styles you can ensure that, even through your nine months with a bump, you can keep your wardrobe looking as fresh and up to date as possible.

There are many places to shop for maternity wear and you don’t have to http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifspendhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blanhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifk.gif a fortune. At a time when you’re most likely saving for your new baby it can seem a little selfish to buy things for yourself, but by utilizing websites such as couponcactus.com or BellaBlu Maternity, you’ll be able to get great treats without breaking the bank.

This summer wide legged trousers and flared pants are back in which is a huge plus if you’re pregnant and want to stay with the changing fashion. A good pair of maternity pants will be almost indistinguishable from other high street ones, and with an elasticized band over or under the tummy you can benefit from a snug and comfortable fit.

Meanwhile, maxi dresses are still in fashion for summer 2011, and you’ll be able to find a great range of garments suitable as maternity wear. These flowing outfits will enable you to cover your bump well and you can either use prints such as zebra or leopard to stay in fashion, or utilize floral dresses to accentuate or tone down the size of your baby bump. Alternatively, if you want to go one step further in finding beautiful maternity wear then you could opt for babydoll dresses. This style is very feminine, has a loose fit to hide your expanding bump and is covered in frills.

Summer 2011 will also see popularity for flowing tunic tops and tank tops for maternity wear. These feminine garments are all the rage whether you’re pregnant or not and can easily be incorporated into outfits to look chic and stylish and radiant at the same time.

In addition, you must not forget that as well as changing fashion there is a large range of accessories to team outfits with. All of these also go through seasonal trends and this year there are a number of top looks to go for. Big and bright is definitely the way forward and if you want to get the summer style, add large hoop or cascading earrings and colorful necklaces to your outfit. Natural and neutral is also in, with beads, feathers and earthen colors being popular, whilst vintage remains as popular as ever.

If you’re pregnant don’t feel like your style has to be stunted. If anything you’ll be able to explore an entirely new niche in fashion, using the changing trends in fashion to accessorize your bump. You’ll be able to find a great variety of in-vogue maternity wear perfect for your summer wardrobe and it’ll be just as fun shopping when you’re pregnant as when you’re not.
