Great Article in Men's Health Magazine About Pollution and Our Health

I know this may seem a little strange (being a woman and all), but one of my favorite magazines to read is Men's Health. The reason I love this magazine has nothing to do with the tips from "The Girl Next Door", or the info found in their "Tech Guide". No, the real reason I really enjoy this magazine is (the pictures of the hot guys....) the great articles by their writers.

This past month, their very talented writer Melody Petersen, composed a fantastic article about the health hazards of the various pollutants in our in environment. In this article, she visits an Indian Reserve in southern Ontario, Canada and exposes how two large industrial chemical plants have changed the lives of the residents living in that area. Although she focuses on how these chemicals are reducing the number of males being born, it also shares how these chemicals are influencing their pets and wildlife.

For example, check out this one passage:

"SHARREN FISHER IS FIGHTING her way through the thigh-high brush on a warm July afternoon, taking me to the water-filled ditch where Stella, her dog, would often stop for a drink. Fisher, a member of the tribe, says she's seen what looks like oil in the water. It's impossible to see where the water in the ditch comes from in the tangle of cattails and tall grass, but Fisher believes it drains from two industrial plants that are a quarter of a mile from her house, so close you can hear the roar of machinery.

"I used to take the dogs to the creek all the time," she says. But then Stella, a terrier-poodle mix, gave birth to three deformed pups. One stillborn pup, Fisher says, had no muzzle or fur. It also had webbed feet. That was in 2005, she says; Stella hasn't had any puppies since.

"We lost our ducks and geese," she says. "I couldn't keep them out of the water."

Her two ponies have had three stillborn foals. "We've never had a live baby from them," she says."

Disturbing? Isn't it?

To read more about what Melody has uncovered, visit the article online here. After reading it, you'll start to wonder just how companies are allowed to contribute this type of pollution to our world and how it influences the health of our children.

WA Article Club: Inside Scoop

I recently joined a one-month WA Article Marketing Club when it was offered to Wealthy Affiliate members who wanted to learn the ins and outs of article marketing from the ground up. For this club, we each created new blogs using Wordpress Express and are promoting them through free sites such as Ezine Articles, Articlesbase, and other article directories. While these blogs all promote Wealthy Affiliate, the method can be applied to any niche.

Article marketing has never been something I've done in earnest for a particular campaign. With eHow articles, it really wasn't necessary, and I never realized how powerful an article marketing campaign can be for backlinks and traffic. In the WA article club, we write and publish about two articles off-site for every one post or page we publish on our blogs. Each of the two articles is tightly related to the topic of the blog post, and links directly to it as well as to the blog's home page.

This is a whole new method of backlinking for me, as I previously added backlinks rather sporadically and had only ever written a handful of articles for article databases. For instance, I created my Ezine articles account in 2008, but I've added more articles in the past week than I had in the previous two years put together.

In addition to the article marketing, the club has shown me a new way to set up Wordpress blogs, where there is a separate page for the blog posts as well as pages for FAQ, About, and other key pages. I hadn't known you could have your blog posts show up anywhere other than the front page... yes, I was a little behind the times.

After completing the 30-days tasks for my new Legit Work at Home blog, I will repeat the process for my pets niche site and my food niche site, both of which have shown great potential already (the pets one earns over 0 a month with the minimum effort I've put forth). I will update about their progress after completing the article club steps for these sites -- I'm really excited to see how it works out.

What are you working on? Have you done article marketing to promote your website or blog? I'd love to hear your experiences...

Blogwalker - Thinking About This Article !

Blogwalker are the blog explorers who are always trying to get the traffic of visitors from other blogs, usually the blogwalker always leave a brief message in a message box like cbox, shoutmix and the like. They tried to get visitors by leaving a short message and leave a link in the message. Usually the blogwalker insert a link in the name of their blogs that they wrote before the short message posted on the message box.

Truly, the blogwalker are the blog explorers that very persistent, they try to spend a little time to come visit your blog (maybe). But sometimes crawl very far, making the blogwalker get lost in the blogs they do not know. However, they still leave a short message in order to get a few visitors from these blogs. It is very tired of being a blogwalker, but what should be done by the blogwalker due to limited knowledge about SEO. Actually, blogwalking is one of the SEO tricks (according to other blogs like that). To increase the pagerank we should exchange links with bloggers who have a high PageRank, it is usually done by the blogwalker. Actually it is not the blogwalker who want it, but because they read the SEO guides tell the trick like that.

To get a high PageRank does not actually need to do a link exchange that I think it just makes your blog SEO getting worse. Why worse? because the more outbound links you have, it will be detrimental to your blog. To get a backlink and pagerank have an abundance of blogs that have a high PageRank does not actually need to do a link exchange. You need to know, I do not quite understand about backlinks. Even commenting on other people's blogs can be expressed backlinks, I get a backlink from problogger.net and o-om.com because I've commented on and o-om.com problogger.net. somehow I can get backlinks from these blogs, please look at my alexa for evidence.

But Is a backlink from a blog that has a high pagerank affect your pagerank? I think not, the proof I only get 9 (nine) recorded in the alexa backlinks. There are 6 (six) sites that give me a backlink, and I think the site is a site that has a high PageRank. The six sites were.

1. Technorati.com
2. Plurk.com
3. Problogger.com
4. O-om.com
5. lintasberita.com
6. adsensecamp.com

However, it does not push my blog pagerank, because my pagerank is still 0 (zero). However, why there are many people who think, if the exchange of links can increase your blog's reputation. So you tried to find backlinks by blogwalking to several blogs and the result is nothing. However, if blogwalking that as a means of promoting a blog, it's true that your blog can be known by many people within a certain time. So do not waste your time to blogwalking, but you have to learn every fact that you really natural about the world of blogs. With your experience, then you will be better blogwalker. That is, you can better understand what you need to know and how to make blog promotion strategy. Not by visiting the blogs of others and only visited a few seconds, leave the link, then go and expect get visitors coming to your blog. You should know that, blogwalking to blogs that have a high PageRank and good reputation can build yourself and your blog is to make the blog better.
